This is a bespoke Judo event run by Jidel Judo Club aimed at beginners or those who are less experienced. For children aged 5,6,7 yrs / 8,9,10 yrs & 11, 12 yrs.

Spectator fee: Adults £3.00 cash or card – Children Free.

Cafe: The venue has a small cafe but it can get very busy so it might be a good idea to pack some drinks and food to bring with you.

Car Parking: There are large car parks at the front and rear of the building which are both free.

Make sure to arrive in time to get changed into your judo trousers to weigh in at the times stated below. Kids must weigh in with judo trousers and a T-shirt on for both boys and girls. Follow Judo Scotland signs for directions to the weigh in area.

Weigh in time: Girls & Boys 5,6,7 Years: 8:45am - 9:00am

Format for 5,6 7 years of age:

• Group Warm Up

• 30 seconds throw for throw in first round only with 1.30-minute contest.

• 1st Ippon wins and does not end contest.

• Rolling clock, clock does not stop on matte

•  Subsequent rounds 2 minutes contest

• 1st Ippon wins but does not end contest.

• (NO GOLDEN SCORE)

• No Judo warnings (penalties) will be given

Weigh in time: Girls 8,9, 10 Years: 10:45am - 11:00am

Format for 8,9,10 years of age

• Group Warm Up

• Contest time is 2 minutes, with rolling clock

• 1st Ippon wins and ends contest.

• Clock does not stop on matte

• (NO GOLDEN SCORE)

• No Judo warnings (penalties) will be given

Weigh in time: Boys 8,9,10 Years: 12:45pm - 1.00pm

Format for 8,9,10 years of age

• Group Warm Up

• Contest time 2 minutes  with rolling clock

• 1st Ippon wins and ends contest.

• (NO GOLDEN SCORE)

• No Judo warnings (penalties) will be given

Weigh in time: Boys & Girls 11 & 12 Years: 2:30pm - 2:45pm

Format for 11 & 12 years of age

• Open mat for club coaches to warm up.

• Contest time is 2 minutes,

• 1st Ippon wins and ends contest

• Clock does not stop on matte

• (NO GOLDEN SCORE)

• No Judo warnings (penalties) will be given
