CPR & Defibrillator Training
On Tuesday this week we hosted a CPR and defibrillator training course at the club.
All of our coaches are trained First Aiders, and this additional training gave our coaches, senior members, and parents the chance to refresh their skills and knowledge — something we hope never needs to be used, but could one day save a life.
Defibrillator and CPR training can give you the confidence and knowledge to act quickly if someone has a cardiac arrest.
Giving CPR promptly and effectively, alongside the use of a defibrillator, can more than double the chances of survival in an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest.
We have a shared-access defibrillator located at the rear of the Scout Hall across the road from the club. This is registered and accessible to the public using a code which can be provided by emergency services or our coaches.
